Four Year Olds / VPK

Children who are at least four years old on September 1 of the current calendar year are eligible to enroll in FREE VPK by securing a VPK voucher online at the link below. You can then bring your voucher to LTA to secure his/her space for VPK!

Our VPK program includes 540 Hours of FREE education during the school term! VPK hours at LTA are 9am-Noon.

Should you require full time care for your VPK child, we are more than happy to have him/her in our advanced “wraparound” program. In this program, children can attend school as early as 7am and as late as 5:55pm Monday through Friday for a set weekly tuition rate.

The VPK program focuses on the following educational domains:

  • Physical Development.
  • Approaches to Learning.
  • Social and Emotional Development.
  • Language and Literacy.
  • Mathematical Thinking.
  • Scientific Inquiry.
  • Social Studies.
  • Creative Expression through the Arts.

Additionally, multi-sensory activities provide opportunities for children to be engaged in learning in a variety of ways. Daily activities include group circle time, center-based learning, songs and fingerplays, art & social experiences, gross and fine motor skill development and verbal communication. Physical play is also important, and we provide scheduled outdoor and indoor physical activities throughout the day. Play is learning!

Our VPK Program maintains a maximum ratio of 11 students to one credentialed teacher. All VPK staff are trained in early literacy and the VPK Standards of education. They are also CPR/First Aid Certified. Continuing education takes place in regular intervals throughout the year. Class size will never exceed 19 students and will have a trained assistant if group size exceeds 11.
